The debut Album from Christopher Ernst under his Penalune project name, "Less Of The Same" is exactly that, less of the same exhausted songs and structures. This Album throw away pieces so present today and the works presented here are comprised of both, acoustic and electronic instruments, including alto sax, violin, electric guitar and the human voice. Fieldrecordings from Brooklyn and Upstate NY make appearances throughout to give a reality check to the sounds reaped from non-existant sources. The main intention is to take the listener by the hand on a journey through brand new surroundings, simultaneously familar yet not quite at home. Close your eyes and enjoy. |
